Alpha Axia Malagouzia

Brilliantly, light yellow in color with greenish tints. Strong and lively nose, typical Malagouzia, suggesting rose petal with floral aromas and sweet spices, melon, litchi with a note of honeysuckle. Round and mellow on the palate, fat but balanced, high in alcohol with plenty of finesse. Well structured, reminding the nose aromas with a hint of rosemary. A richly textured wine with superb length and balance. A classy wine with long finish and persistent aromas.

Alpha Axia Red Blend (Xinomavro Syrah)

Deep ruby colour with purple hints. Powerful, pungent aromas of sweet cherry, candied plum and toasty vanillin oak. Full bodied and deep in dark fruit flavours with a peppery and strong oak spicy accents background. The solid tannins build through the finish with supported depth with a bright acid lift on the back that adds energy.

Alpha Omega

Allowing the fruit to stay on the vine and dehydrate intensifies aromas and flavours to the point of perfection. Is a full body, full flavoured wine exhibiting rose-petals, pear and apricot character, and the spicy floral aromas of the Gewurztraminer grape. The residual sugar is well balanced by acidity, so that the overall effect is refreshing, neither cloying nor tart. This wine has a pleasant, long finish.

Alpha One

This superb Greek wine is crafted from the best barrels of each harvest, representing the absolute expression and dynamic of the Amyndeon viticulture zone. The wine is fine, rich and intense with some black fruit, spices and notes of cassis. It has a complex structure and superb length.

Alpha Pinot Noir

Meticulous care in the vineyard and a gentle touch in the winery resulted in Alpha’s Pinot Noir. A wine of great intensity, balance and structure. Depth and concentration balanced by the fresh acidity and minerality that are typical of the site. Influenced by new oak, their subdued, alluring aromas, characterised from wild cherries aromas, with hints of spiced black plums, raspberries and cocoa seduce the educated palate, as does the vibrant acidity.

Alpha Rose

Bright rose colour with a rich expression of  rose petals and strawberries on the nose. Medium-bodied, balanced mouthfeel with a sustained finish. Well paired with Greek cuisine, pasta in light sauces, spicy gazpacho soups and a variety of Asian cuisine.

Alpha Sauvignon Blanc

Brilliant light yellow colour with greenish hints. Intense and rich nose, typical of the variety, with citrus, passion fruit, honeydew and hints of oak. Full mouth, creamy, with excellent balance, freshness and finesse. Persistent aftertaste aromas with long finish.

Alpha Syrah

Bright, deep ruby colour. It has beautiful Syrah fruit silky and ripe. Rich and intricate bouquet, earthy, dominated by leather and cherry brandy aromas, with peppery and plumy background. Generous, full bodied, chewy, robust wine with a velvety taste. Vanilla, wood, mocha and toffee hints. Slightly tannic finish with long persistent aromas. Its potential complexity is under constant development. A “Vin de Garde” with a great future.

Alpha Syrah Xinomavro Merlot

Deep ruby colour with purple hints. Powerful, pungent aromas of sweet cherry, candied plum and toasty vanillin oak. Full bodied and deep in dark fruit flavours, with a peppery and strong oak spicy accents background. The solid tannins build through the finish but there is plenty of supporting depth of fruit here, not to mention a bright acid lift on the back that adds energy. A ‘’Vin de Garde’’ with a great future.

A vivid, deep crimson-purple colour; intense black cherry fruit fills the bouquet, then opens proceedings on the beautifully weighted and structured palate. Superb poise and balance to the oak and fine-grained tannins. Served blind, you would not guess its country of origin”

Alpha Xinomavro Hedgehog

Bright purple-red colour. Complex, typical bouquet of small berries red fruits, leather and spices (vanilla, pepper, clove), with hints of ripe blackberry. Full mouth, rounded tannins, balanced acidity and well integrated wood tones. Long aftertaste with intense quince aroma.

Alpha Xinomavro Reserve

Bright dark ruby colour. Complex nose with typical bouquet of sundried tomatoes, smoky black fruits, strawberries, dark cherries, liquorice and spices. Full body, with rich fruit depth, blackberries, plums, herbaceous hints and oak on the back. Solid, velvety tannins and long aftertaste with persistent aromas.

“The low-yielding, 90-year old bush vines and planted (on thier own roots) on sandy soil over limestone, yielding less than 27 hectolitres per hectare (1.8 tonnes per acre). The wine spends two years in French oak and a further year in bottle in the winery prior to release. The bouquet and palate exude red and black cherry, plum and warm spice aromas and flavours, the tannin structure excellent, the overall mouthfeel and balance very good, the oak integrated.”
