Domaine Sigalas is a winery based on the idyllic Island of Santorini, one of Greece’s most renowned wine producing regions. This viticultural region is one of the most ancient in the world, with archeological findings suggesting proof of vineyards since the 17th century BC.
The company was founded in 1991 and cultivates 19 hectares of vineyard, capable of producing 300,000 bottles annually.
Santorini is one of the few places in the world where old vines can be found. The combination of ancient soils, old vines, unique pruning methods and ancient grape varieties yield particularly unique wines of exceptional quality, representative of the unique terroir of the volcanic island.
Wine has indeed become the core of the financial, social and cultural life of the island.
