Xanadu Wines was established in 1977, but it is since the Rathbone family bought the estate in 2005 that the winery has found international acclaim with their stellar selection of Margaret River wines. The wine exhibits vibrant, characteristic aromas of cassis, berry fruits, and dark Satsuma plums entwined with hints of bay leaf and spicy, toasty oak. The generous palate is packed full of ripe forest fruits, jubey blackcurrant pastilles and chocolate characters. Full bodied, the attractive fleshy fruits fit into a structure supported by supple tannins, a solid acid backbone and a persistent berry fruit finish.

The bouquet of this elegant Chardonnay offers white peach, zesty citrus characters and fresh Nashi pears with hints of glacé fruits and roasted almonds. The palate is medium bodied and vibrant, offering white fleshed nectarines and grapefruit characters. Lees stirring has added complexity and texture to the fine-boned, minerally structure. The stylish fruit and zesty acid combine to focus the wine perfectly to a crisp, dry, persistent fruit finish.

The wine exhibits cornerstone Cabernet aromas of ripe blackcurrants, forest fruits, and dark plums, with subtle spicy elements and judicious toasty oak. Full bodied and generous, the palate is packed full of brambly berry fruits and cassis characters, with underlying mocha and savoury notes. The ample fruit is supported by supple tannins, bright acidity and a warm, lingering finish.

The bouquet of this elegant yet powerful Chardonnay offers fresh pears, nectarine, and citrus fruits with underlying hints of nougat, beeswax and Frangipani flowers. The palate is medium-full bodied and tightly coiled, displaying pears, white fleshed stone fruits and zesty lemony/grapefruit flavours. The wine offers a fine boned quartz-like structure complemented by a lovely creamy/marshmallow texture derived from lees stirring. Taut, yet opulent, the intense fruit and bright acidity combine to focus the wine perfectly to a crisp, lingering fruit finish.
