Colour: Deep, crimson color with violet hues.
Nose: Ripe red fruit, marmalades, figs and sweet spices.
Taste: Flavors similar to those of the nose, with tannins and acidity in balance.
This is an endangered variety, which can be found dispersed throughout Santorini. Mavrotragano was traditionally used in order to enhance the aroma and flavour of traditional red sweet wine. A multi-dynamic variety, which can be used for the production of dry red wine or sweet red wine, of exceptional quality and character.
