Grant Burge 5th Generation Cabernet Merlot

The 2012 Cabernet Merlot is a harmonious blend of two classic varietals. Ripe blackcurrant and cassis fruit from the Cabernet with supple, redcurrant and dark plum flavours from the Merlot. Rich cassis, dark chocolate and red berry fruits are all beautifully interwoven with a soft silky blueberry core. Hints of spice, black pepper and tobacco give the wine a depth of flavour and richness, which is all supported by fine tannins and spicy oak. The elegant, refined structure of this wine makes it a great match with a wide range of meat dishes including lamb cutlets, back strap and roast beef.
