Alpha Estate named ‘Winery of the Year’

We are excited to announce that Alpha has been named the ‘2013 Winery of the Year’ by New York’s Wine & Spirits Magazine. As noted by Joshua Greene, publisher and editor, “Alpha Estate’s range of exceptional wines makes it a great ambassador for Greece’’ – and don’t we all know this at Estate Wines.

We are proud to be the sole distributor of this iconic Greek brand in Australia and our strong relationship with the winery ensures that all premium varietals produced will continue to be available to nationwide at a competitive price.

Alpha Estate has also recently received a fantastic review by renowned Australian wine journalist, James Halliday, who rated the 2008 Alpha Estate Xinomavro Reserve at 94 points and the 2009 Alpha Estate Syrah Xinomavro Merlot at an impressive 96 points. In fact, these scores are the highest he has ever awarded to a Greek wine, further demonstrating the quality of Alpha’s production on an international scale.

The latest shipment of wines was received from Greece recently and with it some great new additions to our range of Alpha products. We are now be stocking the acclaimed ‘Alpha One’ and ‘Alpha Utopia Tannat’. For further information about the range of Alpha products available please view the product page.

And just to add to the ‘Alpha’ theme, we are also delighted to have established a fantastic working relationship with the new Alpha Restaurant who are selling the entire range of wines at their Sydney-based restaurant. Fancy a fantastic glass of Greek wine accompanied by a gorgeous meal? You know where to go and tell them we sent you!
